How can you support our work?

Although the school fee of the Mago Polytechnic School is very low, many families cannot afford it. As a foundation we do what we can, but we are also looking for families in the Netherlands and abroad who want to sponsor a student.

Thanks to a sponsor, Koki Shalom was able to train as an electrician and has now graduated. For € 19 per month you give another student the same chance.

Through our project Future for Young Teeth, children at primary schools around Mago learn to take good care of their teeth. Two new schools have now joined, bringing the number of children we reach to 3,100.

Every six months, all children receive a new toothbrush and toothpaste. For € 78 you cover this for 20 children. Transfer the amount to our bank account with the reference ‘future for young teeth’.

Since the pandemic, the economic situation in the region has deteriorated sharply: unemployment is higher and food prices have more than doubled. That is why Stichting Mago hands out a food package four times a year to 300 of the very poorest families.

A package contains staple foods such as maize flour, rice, sugar, tea and salt and costs € 20. With your contribution a family can get by again for a while. Read more about our community support.

Many children come to school without breakfast, and whether there will be dinner is often uncertain. Our foundation makes sure that 2,250 children get a lunch every school day. Day in, day out it consists of maize and beans, and the children love it.

For € 35 you pay for one child’s lunches for a whole school year. Transfer the amount with the reference ‘lunch for one child’.
