The whole world is being hit by this nasty virus. In the Netherlands many people are ill and many deaths are to be mourned. Many businesses are struggling, but fortunately the government here steps in.
How different it is in Kenya. Infections and deaths are limited, thanks to strict enforcement by the government. Everything is locked down and all borders are closed. So no tourism, no work and no income.
Our school is closed too and our staff are at home. Fortunately we can still pay our staff half their salary. We hope a medicine will come soon, but even then it will take a very long time before this country is back to normal, because poverty has never been so great.
